I AM the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down HIS life for the sheep.

HE is despised and rejected by men,
A MAN of sorrows & acquainted with grief.
& we hid, as it were, our faces from HIM;
HE was despised, & we did not esteem HIM.

Smitten by GOD, & afflicted.

Not with the blood of goats & calves,
but with HIS own Blood
HE entered the Most Holy Place once for all,

For if the blood of bulls & goats & the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
how much more shall the Blood of CHRIST,
who through the eternal SPIRIT
offered HIMSELF without spot to GOD,
cleanse your conscience from dead works
to serve the living God?

HE is the Mediator of the New Covenant,
by means of death,
for the redemption of the transgressions
under the first covenant,
